The Nitty-Gritty

What It’s Made Of
Inside the quartz tube, a halogen gas does the heavy lifting. It stabilizes the filament and gives the whole thing a much longer life than your basic incandescent. The quartz itself is tough—it handles high temps and doesn’t crack under thermal shock. The R7s base is another thoughtful touch. It locks into industrial fixtures for a solid, repeatable connection.
