Here is the honest truth: we use a thicker mirror. Because it’s beefier, it takes a few extra moments to warm up compared to those flimsy, thin-film heaters. It’s a slightly slower start. But in exchange, you get a mirror that won’t crack or warp when the temperature swings. We’d rather you wait an extra minute than have your mirror shatter in three years.

We kept the design compact, so swapping one out is a breeze. Just make sure you wire it into a GFCI-protected circuit—safety first when you’re dealing with water. As for upkeep?
