We built this infrared emitter for one reason: to make cabinet sterilization happen in seconds, not minutes. No waiting around. Just instant, searing heat that gets straight to work, wiping out what you don’t want lingering on surfaces.
The guts: power, voltage, and the right size
Speed is the whole point. The shortwave halogen element fires up almost instantly, throwing off intense radiant heat. We pair that with a high-voltage, high-power setup—think 400V at 2500W—so you get the heat density needed to kill microbes fast. And the 300mm length? It’s intentional. It gives you a tight, focused thermal footprint that lines up with standard cabinet zones and the spacing needed for even, line-of-sight heating. That geometry lets you place the emitter close to the target, cranking up intensity without taking up extra space in the machine.
What’s inside: halogen, quartz, and the R7s connector
We use a halogen-filled quartz tube because it can handle sudden temperature swings and stay steady through repeated on/off cycles. Quartz also sends shortwave IR right where it needs to go—into the workpiece—instead of wasting energy heating the air. Then there’s the R7s connector. It’s practical, proven in the field. It handles high current, makes end-mounting straightforward, and turns the emitter into a simple, drop-in replacement when service is needed. The halogen cycle keeps the filament stable at high temps, so output stays consistent over time.
Why it matters: instant heat, thorough sterilization
In cabinet sterilization, what you really want is repeatable performance when time is tight. With response in seconds, you can run short, aggressive cycles and still get thorough disinfection. The concentrated heat profile means less wasted energy on heating air, and the compact form slips easily into existing cabinet layouts.
